Using TNG Wiki

The TNG Wiki, is currently structured into the following TNG Guides, anchored in the left sidebar (panel):
- Getting Started Provides information on how to customize your Web Site and create user pages.
- Guest Visitors Provides information for how visitors might navigate your Web Site.
- Registered Users Provides information on how to use the capabilities of TNG as a Registered User or Administrator.
- Administrator Provides information for the Administator of a TNG Web Site (aka TNG Admin).
- Programmer Provides information to help understand how TNG works, and for programmers making changes to TNG.
The following entries under Items of Interest in the left sidebar (panel) are items of special interest which are also part of the other guides:
- Reports Provides a list of some helpful TNG reports.
- Mods Provides a list of user modifications and add-ons, which can be installed in TNG.
- TNG Glossary Provides a definition of some of the terms used in TNG.

How to search in TNG-Wiki
|
There are several ways to find information in TNG Wiki. The items in the left panel are a good place to start.
- The TNG Wiki Help link in the Navigation section now points to this page
- The TNG Wiki Sitemap link in the Navigation section shows how that TNG Wiki is organized by topic or categories
- Try the Search facility. Put your keyword in the searchbox at the top right hand corner of this page, then click the Go or Search button, (the magnifying glass).
- Click Go - or Enter on your keyboard - to take you to the article, if it exists. If it doesn't, you can request it.
- Click Search to search the text of all pages in TNG Wiki. Then choose from the drop down list of the pages returned.
- You can also use Categories in the Navigation section in the left panel. If you click on the
 it will expand, to show the list of articles grouped under that category. If you click on the  it will contract the list.
- Alternately, you can view a list of All Pages in the TNG Wiki.

TNG Categories
|
The TNG Wiki, uses the MediaWiki CategoryTree extension, which provides an alternate view of the articles grouped in Categories as shown in the left panel. If you click on the it will expand to show the list of articles grouped under that category. If you click on the it will contract the list.
